LUMI Sportswear began with a simple idea and a passion for fitness and unique design. I wanted to create a line of women's activewear that felt luxurious and comfortable and looked as good as it felt, sportswear that gives a woman the feeling that she is sexy and feminine. My name is Karina, and I started from scratch, without investors or big backing, with the goal of building a collection that celebrates individuality, piece by piece.
Building the store felt overwhelming, and when the first few orders came in I was extremely happy and completely overwhelmed at the same time. Somehow I managed to fulfill every shipment, packing the orders by hand on the living room table of my small apartment in Brooklyn, New York, with my close friend Annie, who later became part of the team. The first shipment I remember was a sports set, and I have kept expanding that line with more feminine colors and different fabrics until it became one of our best sellers.
What began as a small dream continues to grow through a commitment to finding pieces women love to wear. Every step of this path is driven by the same desire, to create a brand that lets women feel comfortable and confident in their everyday lives.

Our Mission
My mission is simple: activewear a woman puts on and then forgets she is wearing, because it fits her and moves with her. Everything else grows from there.
OUR VISION
I see LUMI Sportswear growing into a community of women around the world who feel strong and feminine in what they wear. Activewear can be a quiet form of self-expression, and I want our pieces to give women exactly that, in the gym and far beyond it.
DESIGNED FOR WOMEN
Most activewear is designed to be athletic first and feminine as an afterthought. I work the other way around. That means high-waisted leggings that stay put through a full workout and fabric that sculpts without squeezing. It also means color: dusty rose, lavender, lilac. Shades I chose because I wanted to wear them myself.
Our Commitment to Quality
Trust is earned order by order, and I have not forgotten how it felt to pack the first ones myself. Every piece has to pass my own test before it reaches the site: it should feel as good after the twentieth wash as it did on the first wear. When something misses that bar, we don't sell it.
